The Electronic Engineering Department at Inha University was established to meet the growing demand for expertise in these fields in 1963. The Department has grown to 15 faculty, approximately 500 undergraduate students and 90 graduate students. The Department of Electronic Engineering offers Bachelor of Science, Master of Science and the Doctor of Philosophy Degrees in Electronic Engineering. Particularly, the undergraduate program of Electronic Engineering Department is on the track of certification by Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea. Most recently, In the evaluation of Korea Education Ministry, Both of the undergraduate and graduate programs of Electronic department in Inha University were chosen as Most Honorable Department among the Electronic Engineering Departments in Korea. The department of Electronic Engineering has large and active research programs in area of Electronic Engineering. We are believing that our research will be made a large contribution to our society and industry.

Currently, our major research activities can be categorized in the following areas ; Semiconductor and VLSI, Signals and Systems, Computer Systems, and Communications and Networks.

Semiconductor and VLSI
Research involves studies of new and advanced semiconductor materials and also design, fabrication, testing, and reliability of new types of VLSI devices and circuits.

Signals and Systems
Signal and system deal with the problems related to the representation, manipulation, and analysis of various signals, such as speech, images, communication signals, and radar/sonar signals. Research is being focused on the fields of speech and image coding, channel equalization, echo canceling, and signal detection and estimation.

Computer Systems
The main research areas in this field include the design and analysis of computer architecture, embedded systems and Linux, computer networks, streaming server, parallel and distributed processing, fault tolerant system, network algorithms.

Communications and Networks
Research topics include state-of-the-art of communication systems such as aeronautical telecomm. & network design, RFID system design, MMIC design, UWB antenna design, and next generation wireless communications with OFDM-MIMO, and cross-layer design.

The curriculum of E.E. Department is composed on the basis of the criterion of Accreditation board for engineering Education of Korea. The courses currently offered by the program of ABEEK are roughly grouped into following four tracks :
