Founding of the College of Humanities (with 8 departments : Korean Language and Lierature, English Language and Literature, French Language and Literature, German Language and Literature, Chinese Language and Literature, Japanese Language and Literature, History and Philosophy).
March 2nd, 1981
The first students enter the College of Humanities.
March 12th, 1989
Department names change : Japanese Language and Literature becomes Japanese Studies, Chinese Language and Literature becomes Chinese and Sinology.
October 21st, 1998
The College of Humanities is divided into the Faculty of Language (Korean Language and Literature, French Language and Literature, German Language and Literature, Chinese and Sinology, and Japanese Studies), the Faculty of Humanities (History and Philosophy), and English Lanuage and Literature.
October 14th, 1999
Faculties were unified (Language, Humanities and English Language and Literature).
October 9th, 2003
Department name change from French Language and Literature to French Studies.
